Inherent Flame Retardant (iFR) PES is an industrial filament yarn for technical textiles and reinforcement of mechanical goods. iFR PET combines non-toxic flame retardant performance with lower shrinkage and higher tenacity.

 

In general, iFR PET helps support shorter afterburn times, shorter burn lengths, lower smoke gas densities, and lower flame propagation. This multifilament PET yarn is also stronger and more durable than textile-grade polymers. The unique flame retardant properties can even be custom engineered to meet required codes and classifications.
